FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - Home runs by Corey Adamson and Brian Adams helped the TinCaps to score five runs in the third inning, en route to a 6-4 victory over the Kane County Cougars Thursday night.
Fort Wayne has now won five straight games at Parkview Field, and is 7-1 at home this season.
The TinCaps scored first, bringing home a run in the first on a Diego Goris sacrifice fly.
In the third inning, the TinCaps offense went full throttle, with Adamson leading off with his first homer.
Jeremy Baltz pitched in a sacrifice fly, and Adams capped the uprisingwith a two run homer to left.
TinCaps starter Joe Ross (3-0) exited after 5 2/3 innings, tying the team mark for longest outing by a starter in 2013, having walked two and struck out three.
The series continues Friday night at Parkview Field.
