TinCaps Close First Half With Win (VIDEO)

COMSTOCK PARK, Michigan (www.incnow.tv) - Diego Goris had three hits and drove in three runs to key a 10-5 TinCaps win at West Michigan Sunday on the final day of the Midwest League's first half.

Chris Burke also had three hits with two RBIs, and Felix Cabrera three hits with one run knocked in as the Caps pounded out 17 hits.

Goris had run scoring hits in each of the TinCaps' four run outbursts in the first and fourth innings.

Justin Hancock raised his record to 5-1, allowing just one earned run in five innings while fanning five.

The TinCaps now join the rest of the Midwest League in the three day All Star break, with four of the Caps, Joe Ross, Dane Phillips, Roman Madrid, and Luis Tejada headed for the All Star game in Dayton Tuesday night.
