TinCaps Bats Quiet Again In 2-1 Loss To Cedar Rapids

July 21, 2013 Updated Jul 21, 2013 at 9:30 PM EST

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (www.incnow.tv) - The TinCaps managed just four hits, none of them after the fifth inning and took a 2-1 loss at the hands of the Cedar Rapids Kernals Sunday.

That final hit in the fifth was a run scoring single by Brian Adams that for a short time had the TinCaps in front 1-0.

But it was erased when Midwest League home run and RBI leader Adam Brett Walker belted a two run homer in the sixth, his 21st homer and 84th and 85th RBIs.

It was the only mistake Joe Ross made in taking the hard luck loss to fall to 4-5.

The three game series and six game homestand wind up Monday night.
