FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Homestead High School is in search of a new tennis coach.

Longtime girls coach Jim Shull will not return next season, telling 21Alive's Dean Pantazi on Tuesday that his contract was not renewed.

Shull, 69, was the Lady Spartans' head coach since 1987. He says he had hoped to continue coaching a couple more years.

Shull amassed more than 400 wins, 5 state runner-up finishes, a 2006 state coach of year award and induction into the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2007.
