Sampson Shines As TinCaps Win Opener

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Keyviius Sampson hurled six perfect innings with ten strikeouts to pace the TinCaps' 2-1 win over the South Bend Silver Hawks in the Midwest League season opener for both teams.

Sampson struck out ten and struck out the side in the first, fourth and fifth innings.

Tommy Medica singled in one run and scored the other for Fort Wayne in front of 7,104 fans who braved cool and rainy conditions.
