NOTRE DAME, Indiana (21 Alive) - Tommy Rees tossed three touchdown passes and racked up 346 passing yards to pace Notre Dame's 28-6 win over Temple Saturday in the season opener for both teams.
Rees hit Davaris Daniels twice for 32 yard scores in the first five minutes of the game, and added a 66 yard scoring pass to Troy Niklas just before halftime.
George Atkinson III finished the scoring with a two yard run in the third quarter.
The Irish did have some struggles with special teams that coach Brian Kelly says they will work to improve before meeting Michigan next week.
