Purdue Dragged Down By Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (21 Alive) - D.J. Newbill had 19 points, Tim Frazier 18 points, and Penn State handed Purdue its fourth straight loss 79-68 on Sunday.

A.J. Hammons had a double double with 18 points and twelve rebounds as the Boilermakers took an early first half lead, but Penn State went on a 12-0 to take the lead and never gave it up.

Penn State rose to 3-6 in the Big Ten and 12-10 overall, while Purdue fell to 3-6 in conference and 13-9 overall, with their win at home over Penn State two weeks ago their last.
