OAKLAND (www.incnow.tv) - The sophomore struggles of Norwell grad Jarrod Parker continued Sunday, as he was pounded by the Detroit Tigers in a 10-1 Oakland loss Sunday.
Parker was belted for nine hits and eight runs before leaving with one out in the fourth inning, his third straight rough outing to start the season, which saw his earned run average balloon to 10.80.
The 13 game winner in his rookie season last year is now 0-2, and Oakland manager Bob Melvin had said last week his spot in the Oakland rotation was safe.
