Marian Brings Down Curtain On Saint Francis' Football Season

INDIANAPOLIS (www.incnow.tv) - Marian punched its ticket to the NAIA football national semifinals Saturday with a 45-34 win over Saint Francis in Indianapolis.

The Knights, now 10-1, used 17 unanswered points in the first half to take a 17-7 lead and outscored the Cougars 28-27 in the second half to hold on for the win.

Marian running back Tevin Lake rushed 30 times for 141 yards with three touchdowns, while quarterback Adam Wiese went 26 of 34 for 212 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Saint Francis, which ends its season at 9-3 had David Yoder pass for 278 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to Aaron Knight, and Austin Coleman ran back a kickoff for a touchdown for the eighth time his career.
