Fort Wayne (incnow.tv)- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants earned a big victory on their quest to make the playoffs by beating the Reno Bighorns 106-86 Friday evening in the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The victory was the 25th of the season and set a new single season record for wins for the Mad Ants.
The Mad Ants took control of the game early off of lay-ins by Tony Mitchell, Anthony Harris, and Tommy Smith, and they never looked back. The Mad Ants kept a double digit lead almost the entire game, and they pushed their lead to as much as twenty four in the fourth quarter behind some sharp shooting from Sadiel Rojas, who hit four three pointers in the second half. Rojas capped off the Mad Ants scoring for the night when he hit a seventeen footer for his fourteenth point and a comfortable 106-86 win.
Samardo Samules led the Bighorns with 16 points, Mo Charlo scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and Ronald Dupree scored 12 points and added 10 rebounds.
Tony Mitchell led the Mad Ants with 25 points, Brandon Wallace scored 16 points and grabbed 15 points, Anthony Richardson added 14 points, and Sadiel Rojas knocked in 14.
