Mad Ants Reacquire Tony Mitchell

Fort Wayne (incnow.tv)- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants presented by the Lutheran Health Network announced today that they have reacquired forward, Tony Mitchell.

Mitchell, a 6-6 forward out of Alabama, was a key player for the Mad Ants during the 2012-13 season averaging 21.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals over 48 regular season games with the team. He recorded his career high 49 points in a 125-112 win against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on April 5, 2013. Following the 2012-13 season, Mitchell was named to the All D-League 1st Team, All-Rookie First Team and was named the 2013 NBA D-League Rookie of the Year. He earned a spot on the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Team and was named Slam Dunk Champion during the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Weekend.

Tony is expected to play in tonight’s game against the Tulsa 66ers at the NBA D-League Showcase in Reno, Nevada, at 7:30 PM EST.
