UNDATED (Indiana's NewCenter) - Bishop Luers and Evansville Mater Dei will not be meeting for the first time when they clash in the 2A state football championship game Friday night in Indianapolis.

They split title game meets a decade ago, Mater Dei winning 56-10 in 2000, Luers coming up the winner in 2001 57-29.

Players from those games are now coaches at their old schools, and the rivalry remains with the current players.
