Luers Loses Again; Fincher Milestone Paces Canterbury; Norwell Upends Dwenger: HS Girls Hoops Scores

FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - Luers lost to a ranked team for the second straight outing, Canterbury won its opener helped by a Kindell Fincher milestone, and Norwell downed Dwenger in girls basketball action Saturday night.

Tashayla Sutorius netted 16 points and Kayla Knapke 13, but 2A third ranked Bishop Luers fell to No. 8 Heritage Christian 61-49, as Tyasha Harris led the winners with 18 points.

Kindell Fincher counted her one thousandth career point as part of her 23 point night as 1A top ranked and defending state champ Canterbury rolled to an 86-53 win at Wayne, led by Bailey Farley's 30 points.

Hanna Smith rolled in 17 points as Norwell, ranked eighth in 3A, opened their season with a 61-40 win at Dwenger, who were led by Ally Christman's 16 points.
