Luers, Bluffton, Norwell, Heritage, and Canterbury Advance In Sectionals (With Video)

UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - Luers, Bluffton, Norwell, Heritage, and Canterbury were boys basketball sectional semifinal winners Friday night.

James Blackmon, Jr. nailed 23 points and Randon Jackson backed him with 13 more as Luers rolled to a 69-47 win over Adams Central in one semifinal at the 2A South Adams Sectional.

Dalton Combs' 14 points topped the Flying Jets.

Chandler Prible had 17 points and eleven rebounds to lead Bluffton into the South Adams final against Luers with their 46-39 win over Eastside in the other semifinal.

David Vogel clicked for 19 points and Josh VanMeter 14 to propel Norwell to their 69-51 win over Mississinewa in the semifinals of the 3A Norwell Sectional.

Mississinewa's Seth McPheron led all scorers with 22 points.

Heritage won the spot opposite Norwell in the final at Norwell with their 62-40 win over Whitko, as Conner Sheehan had 16 points and Wil Knapke 14 for the Patriiots.

Trey Weber led the Wildcats with ten.

At the 1A Hamilton Sectional Trent Van Horn poured in 25 points and Grant pitched in 13 more in Canterbury's 66-45 semifinal win over Bethany Christian.

The Cavs will play Lakewood Park, a 71-60 winner over Elkhart Christian in the final that has been moved to Monday night because of the Canterbury girls' appearance in the girls state finals in Terre Haute on Saturday.
