(Fort Wayne, Indiana) -- The Komets used two third period goals to break open a tie game and went on the beat Kalamazoo, 4 - 2 in their final game of their first season in the ECHL. Both the K's and the K. - Wings failed to make the playoffs. The Komets finished 33 - 35 - 4, their first losing season in 16 years. After the game, Brandon Marino was named the team's Most Valuable Player as well as the K's "Mr. Hustle".
