Komets Trade Tuzzolino For Southorn

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The Fort Wayne Komets have acquired defenseman Jordon Southorn for defenseman Nick Tuzzolino in a Monday trade.

Southorn, 23, of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is in his fourth season of professional hockey. He has split time between Elmira and Dundee of the Brish Elite Ice Hockey League. He was a fourth round draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Southron scored 11 goals, 23 assists, 34 points in 64 games with the Jackals last year.

Tuzzolino, a Komets captain, scored 1 goal and 7 points in 13 games in Fort Wayne.
