FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - The Komets raced to a 3-0 lead and then let Cincinnati catch them them and go on to a 5-4 win in a shootout Saturday night.

Prior to the game, the number 1 jersey of Chuck Adamson, and the number 33 of Nick Boucher were retired in tribute to the two Fort Wayne goaltending greats.

Goals by Tristin King and Brandon Marino in the first period and Kaleigh Schrock in the second staked the Komets to the early lead, but Cincinnati rallied to tie it, and then after Marino's second goal had put the K's back in front in the third, Cincinnati evened it again to force overtime and then a shootout that they won 2-0.

The K's play their first road game Sunday night at 6 in Evansville, which is also the first of 12 Komets road games to be seen on MyTV Fort Wayne.
