Kings Kayo Defending Champ Blackhawks From NHL Playoffs

CHICAGO, Ill. (21 Alive) - Alex Martinez scored with 5:47 gone in overtime to give the Los Angeles Kings a 5-4 win over the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks Sunday night in Game 7 of the NHL Western Conference finals.

It was the only time the Kings led in the game.

Chicago had leads of 2-0, 3-2, and 4-3, and the last of those leads went away with Marian Gaborik's goal with 7:15 to play in regulation.

Patrick Sharp had two goals for Chicago.

Los Angeles plays the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup finals starting on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
