IU Tabs Indiana State's Moren As New Women's Hoops Coach

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (21 Alive) - Indiana has named Teri Moren, the women's head basketball coach at Indiana State the past four seasons, as the new Hoosiers' women's coach.

Moren, a native of Seymour and a former Purdue player, replaces Curt Miller, who resigned in late July after just one season, the best in IU women's basketball history.

Moren took a down Indiana State program and went 69-57 in her four years, capping her stay with a 20 win season in 2013-14.

Indiana put a pricey ten million dollar buyout in Moren's contract if Purdue comes calling, as they did for another former Boilermaker, Sharon Versyp, in 2006.
