TALLAHASSEE, Florida (www.incnow.tv) - Sam Travis homered and drove in four runs as Indiana became the first Big Ten team to reach the College World Series since 1984 with an 11-6 NCAA Super Regional clinching win at Florida State on Sunday.
Scott Donley drove in two runs with a solo homer and a double, and former South Side star and IU freshman lefty Will Coursen-Carr pitched four sparkling relief innings to get the win, allowing just one run and fanning three.
IU, the first team from the Big Ten to reach the College World Series since Michigan 29 years ago, will meet Louisville later this week in the first round of the double elimination World Series, which shifts to a best of three final at the end.
