BLOOMINGTON (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Indiana quarterback Nate Sudfeld earned co-Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors on Monday, sharing the award with Penn State defensive end Deion Barnes.
Sudfeld is the first Hoosier to win the award this year and the fourth since the start of the 2011 campaign.
Entering Saturday’s game against Ball State for the injured Cameron Coffman, Sudfeld finished 13-of-20 for 172 yards to go along with two touchdowns. Sudfeld, who is the third true freshman quarterback to play at Indiana, compiled all his numbers in the fourth quarter.
