IU Gets One Of Four NCAA Tournament Top Seeds

INDIANAPOLIS (www.incnow.tv) - Despite losing in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament, Indiana was one of four number one seeds announced for the NCAA basketball tournament on Sunday.

The Hoosiers joined Louisville, Gonzaga, and Kansas as top seeds, and will open play in Dayton on Friday as the South Regional top seed against the winner of the opening round game between Long Island-Brooklyn and James Madison.

Notre Dame also heads to Dayton Friday as a seven seed in the West Regional and opens play on Friday against Iowa State.

Butler as a six seed in the East will start Thursday in Lexington, Kentucjky against Bucknell.

Valparaiso is an eleven seed in the Midwest Regional and must open against three seed Michigan State on Thursday at Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Ohio State as the second seed in the West meets Iona on Friday in Dayton.

Fifth seed Wisconsin takes on twelve seed Mississippi in the West Regional in Kansas City on Friday.

Four seed Michigan battles 13 seeded Summit League champ South Dakota State in the South Thursday at Auburn Hills

Minnesota got in as the eleven seed in the South and will open against six seed UCLA Friday in Austin, Texas.

And seven seed Illinois is in the East Regional and takes on ten seed Colorado Thursday in Austin.
