IPFW Women Win Summit League Tennis Tournament Title, NCAA Bid

FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - With the match tied 3-3, and all eyes on the No. 6 singles court, IPFW sophomore Marcy Huck came up huge in her biggest collegiate match, out-lasting Amelie Amsallem of Kansas City 6-2 in the deciding third set to bring home the team's third Summit League Tournament Championship in the past four seasons by a final of 4-3.

The win gives the Mastodons a sweep of the Summit League Regular Season and Tournament Titles for the third time in a four-year span, and advances the team to the NCAA Tournament, which will be held from May 10-12 at on-campus sites.

The win improves IPFW's record to 23-7 on the season, and 8-3 all-time in the Summit League Tournament.

The Mastodons will find their opponent on Tuesday in a video streamed selection show at 5:30 p.m.
