IPFW Men, Women Head To Summit League Tourney With Season Wrapup Wins (VIDEO)

OMAHA, Neb. (21 Alive) - IPFW's men trailed by five points with 27 seconds left in overtime, but outscored Nebraska-Omaha 6-0 over the final 16 seconds, including a pair of free throws by Steve Forbes with 0.3 seconds on the clock, to give the Mastodons a 96-95 victory.

Forbes scored 21 points, while Luis Jacobo added 20, and Pierre Bland had 18 points and ten assists.

Joe Edwards also added 18 points in the win.

IPFW moves to 22-9, the second-most wins in a season in program history, and cliches the team a No. 2 seed for the upcoming Summit League Tournament, where the team will face off against in-state rival IUPUI.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW women sent their four seniors out with a victory as the Mastodons ended their regular season defeating Omaha 89-76.

With the win, and if South Dakota State defeats South Dakota on Sunday, IPFW be the No. 3 seed and face Denver in the Summit League Tournament. If the Coyotes win however, IPFW will be the No. 4 seed and face Western Illinois.

Haley Seibert led all scorers with 23 points, Ariana Simmons tied a career-high with 22 points, and Amanda Hyde chipped in 20.
