Huntington North, Leo, Eastside Takes Softball Regionals;Norwell Beaten (VIDEO)

UNDATED (21Alive) - Huntington North, Leo, and Eastside captured girls softball regional championships Tuesday night, while Norwell fell in their regional game.

Erin Rethlake fanned eleven batters and spun a two hitter to lead Huntington North to a 4-0 win over Carroll in 4A. The Lady Vikes will now face top ranked Crown Point at semi-state at West Lafayette Saturday.

Leo captured its first ever softball regional title with a 3-2 win at Wawasee in 3A, as Abbie Heischman's fourth inning RBI double drove in the go ahead run. It will be Hanover Central at Twin Lakes at semi-state on Saturday for the Lady Lions.

Eastside scored the tiebreaking run on a sacrifice fly and went on to a 2-1 win at Bremen in 2A, gaining a spot against Elwood at the 2A semi-state at Greentown Eastern.

Norwell fell 4-2 to Yorktown in their 3A game at Norwell.
