FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alibe) - Homestead's basketball girls will be one of 20 teams from eleven states and the District of Columbia playing in the Best of Maryland Classic in suburban Washington, DC in late July.

Homestead and Indianapolis Pike are the only two Indiana schools in the field.

Bedford-North Lawrence played in the 2013 event and their former coacn, Damon Bailey told Homestead coach Rod Parker he should try to gain an invitation.

Parker and his team are looking forward to the event, which last year drew well over 100 college coaches.
