Harvick Win At Phoenix, Johnson Closes In On Sixth Championship

AVONDALE, Ariz. (21 Alive) - Kevin Harvick passed Carl Edwards in the final lap when Edwards ran out of fuel and won the ninth of the ten Chase for the Sprint Cup races Sunday.

A third place finish by Jimmie Johnson, coupled with a 23rd place finish due to numerous mechanical isses by Matt Kenseth, moved Johnson 28 points ahead of Kenseth with just next week's final raceat Homestead, Florida remaining.

If Johnson finishes 23rd or better at Homestead, he will win his sixth season point championship.
