Concordia Reaches State In 3A Volleyball, Five Others Ousted At Semi-State (VIDEO)

UNDATED (21 Alive) - Concordia was the only survivor of six area teams playing in volleyball semi-states on Saturday, advancing to state in 3A.

The seventh ranked Cadets at the 3A semi-state at Plymouth took out third ranked New Prairie 3-1 in the semifinals, and then blanked top ranked Mishawaka Marian, who had eliminated Bellmont 3-1 in the other semifinal, 3-0 tio advance to meet Indianapolis Brebeuf next Saturday in the state final at Ball State.

Woodlan made a nice semi-state run in 2A at Bremen, besting sixth ranked Southwood 3-1 in the semifinals before dropping tough 3-2 decision to Hammond Noll in the final,

In 4A, Carroll was blanked 3-0 by Carmel in the semifinal at Huntington North, while in 1A, Blackhawk Christian dropped a 3-1 decision to Wes-Del in the semifinal at Caston.
