Concordia 3A Regional Champs, Faces Andrean At Huntington: Regional Roundup (VIDEO)

UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - Only Concordia remains alive among northeast Indiana boys basketball teams heading into semi-state action this week, and will play Andrean at approximately 3pm Saturday at Huntington North In the 3A semi-state.

The Cadets won the 3A Blackford Regional Saturday night, while the quests of New Haven, Norwell and Bishop Luers came up one win short, and Northrop and Canterbury fell in the semifinals.

First, in 4A, New Haven fell to Carmel 63-57 in the final at Marion, desptie 17 points from V.J. Beachem and 15 points and 17 rebounds from Steve McElvene.

This after McElvene scored 24 with 16 boards and Beachem added 19 as New Haven beat Northrop 65-60 in the morning semifinal, despite 27 points and 17 rebounds by Bryson Scott.

In 3A at Blackford, D.J McCall had 26 points and Brian Gremaux and Thomas Starls 13 apiece to help Concordia top Norwell 67-58 in the regional final there.

David Vogel's 13 topped the Knights.

Concordia will meet Andrean in the 3A semi-state.

Bishop Luers, after a 60-34 win over Boone Grove in the 2A North Judson regional semifinals, fell to Bowman Academy in the Saturday night final 82-72, as James Blackmon, Jr. scored 27 points in the final.

Canterbury lost to host Triton in the 1A sectional there in the afternoon 44-4-41 despite 16 points from Chase Moyle and elevn by Trent Van Horn..
