FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The 2013 Blue Ball Open was another successful golf outing and fundraiser to beat cancer.

21Alive's & NBC33's Kent Hormann, who helps organize the event, presented a $6,200 check to the Parkview Cancer Research Center.

The money raised will not only be used in cancer research, but help track prostate cancer patients over time.

The Blue Ball Open is an annual event taking place in August at Cedar Creek Golf Club.
