Fort Wayne (incnow.tv)- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants presented by Lutheran Health Network were able to hold off a determined Springfield Armor team tonight in Fort Wayne to earn a 115-104 win. Tony Mitchell scored 26 points and Jamaal Franklin had 24 for the victors.
The Mad Ants led through much of the game going into the third quarter, but Springfield came out of the half as hot as can be. They took a 70-66 lead off of a 20-12 run with 5:22 remaining in the period. The Armor held on to the lead and took an 82-80 edge into the fourth period. The Ants took over in the final quarter and put the game away when Tony Mitchell fed Jamaal Franklin for a dunk that pushed Fort Wayne ahead 105-93 with just 4:22 to play. The Mad Ants coasted from there for the 115-104 win.
The Armor were led by Adonis Thomas, who had 30 points, and Larry Anderson, who had 29.
Ron Howard chipped in with 16, Matt Bouldin added 14, and Sadiel Rojas contributed a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds for Fort Wayne.
