NOTRE DAME (www.incnow.tv) - The Notre Dame offense showed Saturday it needs to catch up with the defense.

The defense dominated with ten sacks, two interceptions and a safety in winning 54-43, using a special scoring system.

The offense had one touchdown, from early enrollee freshman to be Malik Zaire, a 35 yard touchdown pass to C.J. Prosise.

Coach Brian Kelly said he saw things that need work in the fall and things that have improved this spring, saying improvement must come from quarterback Everett Golson, and at the safety and widereceiver position.

Defensive lineman Louis Nix was the star from running in a two point conversion playing at quarterback.

Kellymade a bet with Louis Nix that if the 305 pound defensive lineman did well in class, he'd let him play quarterback for one play.

Nix lined up in the wildcat to pass, did not see an open receiver, and ran it in for a two point conversion.
