FREMONT, Ind. (21Alive) - The Fremont High School football team will look dramatically different for the 2014 season.
First and foremost, Jim Hummer has taken over as the new head coach. The former DeKalb coach is back in the game after five seasons away.
The Eagles will be a junior-laden squad with most of its starters from a 2-8 team now graduated.
Up front, Fremont returns four offensive linemen and running back Braxton Baker, who averaged 150 yards per game last season. Brice Schueler takes over as quarterback.
The defense returns eight starters, which could be a foundation for Fremont in a run-first Northeast Corner Conference.
The Eagles open the season Aug. 22 against Blackford.
