LIGONIER, Ind. (21Alive) - West Noble High School's football program is hopeful the team can have its first winning campaign in eight years.
The hope springs from almost the entire team returning from last season. The Chargers only lost one starter to graduation.
"The kids being a year older and already having the knowledge of what we want to accomplish," head coach Monte Mawhorter says. "Now we can take that and go a step further."
Landon stover once again starts at quarterback, Steven Ramirez protects Stover on the offensive line and Peyton Shrock will get the bulk of the carries.
"I think they'll be able to do some more things offensively and defensively that we couldn't do last year. Definsively, most of those kids will be playing both ways."
The Chargers entire 2013 schedule consists of North East Corner Conference foes, beginning Aug. 23 at Angola.
