Snider Sees Heartbreaking Loss In 1A Hockey Final (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Snider (Summit City Panthers) fell in heartbreaking fashion to Carmel on Saturday in the Indiana State High School Hockey 1A State Championship.

The Panthers jumped out to the lead when Garrett Shanebrook scored in the first period.

Carmel would go ahead with two goals in the second period from Danny Popowics and Justin Carlton.

Snider would tie the game up in the third period with a goal from Nikolas Moehring.

In 3-on-3 double overtime, Popowics strikes again on a rebound shot, and the Icehounds win 3-2.
