NEW HAVEN, Ind. (21Alive) - New Haven High School claimed its second straight Northeast Hoosier Conference championship and the school's first outright conference crown Thursday night in a 67-46 win over East Noble.

Steve McElvene had 18 points. Lowell Griggs added 13.

The NHC title a year ago was New Haven's first, sharing it with Homestead.

But the Bulldogs' 7-0 conference finish gave New Haven what it needed to stand atop the NHC.

The Dawgs are now 13-3 and finish out the regular season at Heritage, at Concordia and at Wayne; and they host Canterbury and Bluffton before the post season.
