O'Brien Among Hopefuls On Golf Channel Reality Show

ORLANDO, Fla. (21Alive) - A Fort Wayne professional golfer has been selected to take part in a Golf Channel reality show in February.

Kristi O'Brien is a contestant on Big Break Florida, featuring an all-woman cast looking to make it on the LPGA Tour.

O'Brien, 23, now living in Fishers, Ind., was the 2011 Indiana Player of the Year, a two-time women's city golf champion and standout at Bishop Luers High School. She survived a terrible car crash in 2009, and is using the opportunity as a second chance on life.

The 12 women competing will have an opportunity to win more than $175,000 in cash and prizes. The series premieres Mon., Feb 24 at 9pm on Golf Channel.
