FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - The hero of North Side's SAC Holiday Tournament boys basketball championship is this week's 21Alive/Parkview Sports Medicine Boys Player of the Week.

Senior forward Oosha Mitchell averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in the tournament.

His buzzer-beating 3-pointer was the difference in the Redskins' title game victory over Snider. Mitchell accounted for 21 points in that game.

Mitchell says he has improved his confidence as a player. That has helped him to average 12 points and 5 rebounds so far this year.

Mitchell signed his letter of intent in September to play men's basketball at Indiana University-South Bend.
