FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Wayne High School head football coach Robert Brown has stepped down.

Brown has resigned after three seasons with the Generals that showed promise during his tenure.

Brown says is moving to Indianapolis to be closer to his future wife.

Wayne was 6-4 this past season, after going 3-8 in 2012 and 0-10 in 2011.

The 2013 campaign was highlighted with a 45-6 road win over eventual 4A state runner-up Bishop Dwenger.

Prior to Wayne, Brown served as an assistant at Snider.
