ALBION, Ind. (21Alive) -- Here's a touching story about a man who's waited an awful long time for one special thing.

The Central Noble Community School Board awards WWII Army Veteran Lavon Snyder with his high school diploma.

Watch the video for more on this special story.

This weekend, Snyder was also reunited with his WWII pal, Hubert Silcox, who lives in Indianapolis. They served in the Army together for two-and-a-half years and Snyder says he was like a "brother" to him. It's been 68 years since they've seen each other.
