FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- You have an opportunity to help the environment Saturday at the annual "Tox-Away Day".

The drop off location is 3301 Wayne Trace in Fort Wayne and it's an opportunity to throw away certain items that you can't throw away in the regular trash.

"Paints, pesticides, fertilizers, household cleaners, stuff like that," Austin Carpenter, with the Allen County Solid Waste District, said. "We have "Tire Day" on October 5th. We'll release that location two weeks prior to the event. Tomorrow is just for toxic materials in the house."

Hours for Saturday's event are 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
