New Footage Reveals Destructive Power of Massachusetts Tornado

SPRINGFIELD, MA.,, (Indiana's NewsCenter)- It's been 16 years since a killer tornado hit Massachusetts.

But Wednesday evening, Springfield, Massachusetts residents had only ten minutes to take cover and sadly some didn't make it.

The death toll stands at three with 40 others injured.

All together, seven possible tornadoes were reported across the bay state.

Massachusetts sees about two tornados every year on average though there hasn't been one this deadly since 1953.
