FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Sunday is the last day you can celebrate Fort Wayne's German heritage.
So much has been going on at Germanfest, like the 10K Volksmarch and 5K Vision Walk at Headwater's Park Saturday morning.
Germanfest also hosted foam sword fencing as well as a co-ed volleyball tournament, and a bake off.
Organizers say at first spectators were slow coming in, but as the events went on attendance was right on par with previous years, and the comfortable weather certainly has helped.
On Saturday night, there will be a "grape stomping" event where teams will try to stomp the juice out of 300lbs of grapes.
The festivities go on Saturday until 1 a.m. Germanfest concludes with a German language church service Sunday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 729 W. Washington Blvd.
