FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- A proposed statewide smoking ban in Indiana was voted down Wednesday.
A Senate committee voted eight to one, against the bill. Several members said they voted against the bill because casinos, bars, clubs and nursing homes, would have been exempt, making the ban too weak. Without a compromise, it appears the bill will not make it through the General Assembly this session.
