KENDALVILLE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – He was the favorite to win it, and Saturday night Jacob Bartlett was crowned East Noble High School's Prom King!

Saturday is prom night for East Noble juniors and seniors, but for one senior it's a uniquely special day in the making.

Jacob Bartlett's classmates elected him to be one of the five finalists to be crowned this year's Prom King. They describe him as being the type of kid that always says "hi" to everyone in the halls, always has something nice to say and seems to befriend everybody at East Noble regardless of their clique or social group.

We caught up with him at school Friday and what he wanted to talk the most about was all the things he's looking forward to doing Saturday night like "have dinner", "hang around with my friends", "meet new people" and "dancing".

East Noble's Grand March leading up to Prom is Saturday at 6 p.m. and once all the couples have been introduced, the 2013 Prom King and Queen will be crowned.

Nobody is sure who originally nominated him but once they all saw his name on the ballot, the students ran with it on Facebook and Twitter. They are even using the hashtag #voteforjacob.
