WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Purdue University is expanding summer course options in preparation for possibly switching to a year-round calendar.

Purdue University has expanded its summer course options in a bid to boost summer enrollment, and assess the viability of its plans to someday switch to a year-round academic calendar.

Purdue expects its summer course offerings to increase the number of credit hours completed by undergraduate students by about 10 percent.

The “Journal and Courier” reports that school officials are still a long way from implementing their year-round academic calendar proposal. They say before Purdue can do that, it must first make better use of the summer term.
