SEOUL (www.incnow.tv) - According to North Korean state media, the isolated Communist country has successfully tested a miniaturized nuclear device.

A tremor measuring at magnitude 4.9 was detected late last night in North Korea. Governments across the region scrambled to determine whether it was a nuclear test. State media confirmed the test and said it was conducted in a safe manner underground.

President Obama released a statement early Tuesday morning calling the test "a highly provocative act."
