NEW HAVEN, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- A community remembered a long time serving officer Thursday.

A funeral was held at Grace Fellowship for New Haven Police Detective Sergeant Craig Robison. Robison suffered a heat attack while on leave for his father’s funeral. He died at the hospital a couple of hours later.

Police from all over came to his funeral to honor a fellow officer.

Henry McKinnon of the New Haven Polices says, “We all share the same job. We all understand the good times and the bad times that come along with this job. The bond is unbelievable especially with Sergeant Robison. He worked and touched so many lives, worked with so many departments."

Robison was an officer for New Haven Police for 21 years and worked with various departments.
