Mack Porter Sentenced to 45 Years on Murder Charges

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Just last week 22-year-old Keven Franklin was convicted in the March 2008 shooting of 17-year-old Randall Paris. Today, 23-year-old Mack Porter had his day in court.

In a plea agreement with prosecutors, Porter will spend the next 45 years in prison. In exchange for his testimony in the Franklin case, charges of criminal recklessness and carrying a handgun without a license were dropped.

The shooting happened in March 2008 at the intersection of Lillie and McKinnie. It was one of nine homicides to take place in a week's time in Fort Wayne.
