FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) -- One lucky couple got the chance to dine with the mayor Thursday evening.

21 Alive sponsored the contest for a chance to win dinner with the mayor which is all a part of savor Fort Wayne.

Bethany clapper and her husband are getting the opportunity to leave the kids at home and down and enjoy a meal at Chops Restaurant.

They began following the contest on social media and didn't think they would actually win.

There are many things Clapper looks forward to discussing with the mayor, including some political topics.

“Well we might have to talk about things like revitalizing downtown, of course the south as well again, and then how to keep jobs here in Fort Wayne because it's important to my husband and I since we both graduated from both high school and colleges locally, how we can continue to support this area,” Clapper said.

Clapper is also excited to be supporting local businesses from this opportunity.
